Meet Elsie, from the "E" Litter. Elsie and her littermates found their way to our rescue from down south and have been busy adjusting to foster life. Elsie and her eight other littermates grew up in a kennel until arriving into our care. Elsie was perhaps the most timid of all upon arriving in PA, however, she is quickly proving that she just needed to learn a little more about the outside world. She is still a little nervous about the world around her when outdoors in an open area or on a walk, but she consistently improves from one walk to the next. She is completely comfortable in a fenced-in yard. She is working on building her skills daily and her foster is confident that she can overcome the nervousness that remains. She is very fond of children and loves to snuggle up with them. She is working on learning commands and very quickly learned 'sit'. She is food motivated so it will make learning a breeze for this observant and intelligent girl. Elsie has an incredibly sweet demeanor and is a very affectionate, loving dog. She loves to play and loves other dogs. She has an adorable howl.At this time, it would be a huge plus for her to have another confident dog in the home and an adopter who will continue to work on socialization outside of the comforts of home.
