Animal Profile: Meet Janis! She's an estimated 2-year-old, 51 lb spayed female mixed breed (possibly Shepherd and AmStaff). She spent a short time in foster care and her temp family reported she lives well with other large and small dogs, enjoys car rides and walks well on a leash. Janis is smart and affectionate. She's still a pup and will do well in an active home that will provide training. She tested well with a cat at the shelter. We will share more as we get to know her in foster care. Foster Update: Janis is such a joy to have around! She is quick to love, snuggle, and do the puppy lean. She and our resident dog Theo (a DGS alum) have been romping around the yard, playing frisbee and enjoying the summer sunshine. Janis is going to make such a sweet addition to someone's family! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current core vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, health certificate, heartworm test, transport from California to Seattle. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org. Animal History: This dog was rescued from euthanasia at Tulare high-kill shelter in California and arrived to foster care in Seattle on Thurs 7/20.
