FridaUntil now, my life has been full of "ups and downs." The ups were--being adopted at two years from a shelter in Missouri, living with my family for four years, and the dogs in the home who I liked. The downs were--having my front paws declawed, moving at least three times without a gradual introduction to my new homes, being surrendered to the HSHC on July 24, and lastly, finding out I had painful crystals in my urine. Can you blame me for feeling a bit discombobulated? I am now 6-years-old waiting for someone to fall in love with me. The interviewer lady stopped by several times to talk, but I did not feel like chatting. However, today I agreed to let her pet me. She told me I had beautiful eyes and a shiny black coat. I enjoyed the petting but still need time to determine if I trust her. I could stand to lose a little weight, which would take some pressure off my sore tootsies. I am keeping my whiskers crossed that my new owners will slowly introduce me to my home to ensure I feel comfortable and safe. Frida means "peace," and I sure could use some now! 8-22-23
