Female, ~2.5 years old, ~34 lbs. Approximate Age: ~2.5 years old Approximate Weight/Size: Medium Good with: Dogs, Cats, Kids Hi, I'm Jolene! I was adopted as a puppy and when I got older, my owners abandoned me. When I got to the shelter I had a broken leg and I needed immediate care. I have since had that leg amputated but that hasn't dulled my spirit at all. I am a sweet, pint-sized cuddle bug with the cutest ears. I love watching TV and snuggling and while I am still learning to get around with 3 legs, I also enjoy the occasional short walk. I get along great with everyone I meet. I flash a huge smile and wag my tail as fast as can be. I love being in the company of other pups and every day I enjoy my zoomies around the back yard with my current foster pups (yes, I can still do zoomies on 3 legs)! I don't require a home with a yard, but I love the backyard so much and sometimes I don't even want to come inside! I am doing well with stairs and even jumping on the sofa. I am house trained and generally well behaved within the home -- I never chew anything I'm not supposed to. I haven't had any formal training, however, so I would love to join a forever family who would be willing to take me to obedience training. I'm very patient with small children to ask to pet me and I even was polite when I met a cat recently. Despite my rough start to life, I have tons of life and love to give and I can't wait to find my forever home! Jolene tested HW Positive and will be undergoing treatment once they arrive in the DMV. RDR will be paying for the heartworm treatment. They need a fairly quiet home where they aren’t going to be overstimulated too much. They will also need restricted exercise which means short leash walks only. Once the treatment is over, they will be cleared to live a totally normal/unrestricted life like any other dog.
