From Thomas' foster parent: "Hi, my name is Thomas. I am 2 years old, house trained, and I weigh 62 lbs. I am super sweet and ready for a new home. Yes, I have a couple of scars and scrapes, but that doesn't stop me from having fun playing with my foster sister Sage and going on long walks. I've only been in one home, and so I need some more training and patience. I'm always ready to learn, especially if there is a treat involved. I sit before I get my food, and I have been working on my crate training. Please help me find a good, loving home." _________________________________________________________________________________ Thomas (#MASA25547) is a handsome boy who knows exactly what it takes to get a tasty treat! He will wait like the perfect gentleman, as you can see from the photo here. He is estimated to be 2 years old, so he has gotten through that young, exhausting puppy stage, but still has enough energy to keep up with all the fun and excitement of a busy day. He is also only 40 pounds, so that makes him a perfectly medium-sized dog that will fit perfectly into any household. He is currently heartworm positive, but MAS will provide treatment to any adopter's vet to take care of that. One of our staff members spent some time with him and reported this back to us: "Thomas is a spunky, fun boy. He was very enthusiastic to see me while he was in the kennel. Despite his enthusiasm, he walked pretty well on the leash, hardly tugging at all. He is a BIG FAN of the treats. Give him one and he won't leave your side. He even seems to know the 'sit' command. Thomas is a handsome boy with lots of love to give." Come meet Thomas between 12 and 4 pm! Thomas is on our current Deadline Plea, so he must be adopted, fostered, or receive a rescue commitment by 4 pm on July 24. _______________________________________________________________________________________ Thomas attended playgroup on 07/18/23. He was friendly and social and was very playful with others. He was tolerant of another dog who tried to size him up but that didn't stop him form wanting to play with others.
