Meet Lily. She is a sweet, loving 38lb, 4.5 year old Border Collie mix who was abandoned by a former owner. Lily is very affectionate with people and loves belly rubs. She loves to be outside, whether it's going for a hike (she is a fantastic hiking companion), playing chuckit, or just being in the yard relaxing. Lily loves going for car rides but, should she need to stay home, she is perfect and will simply curl up and wait for your return, no crating necessary. Lily needs to be the only pet in the house as she does not tolerate living with other dogs or cats. Lily is chipped, house trained, spayed, up to date on shots and her blood work shows her to be in excellent health. Lily came from an abuse situation so can be timid, especially if voices are raised. But she loves positive reinforcement, treats, and is eager to please. Lily's perfect owner will have a home with a fenced yard, an active lifestyle and/or use the chuckit, and will want a dog that will be part of the family. She will thrive with any additional training and your active lifestyle, she will be your best friend and companion. Because her breed mix can sometimes be vocal (although Lily is not very much), no apartments or shared walls is recommended. Lily is fostered in Woodland, WA, and is available for meet and greets.
