Volunteer favorite alert! Barney is a friendly, enthusiastic young dog who has been described by his volunteer fan club as, "A great dog, very good natured, and also affectionate." He's a sweet and active guy who enjoys participating in our doggie playgroups and going on our group hikes. The hikers say he is "an absolute joy to have out on the trail." He rides well in the car, doesn't get distracted by passing dogs, hikers, or bikes, and loves to get in the water. Other volunteers have said, "Barney likes to put his paws up on my lap and lean in for pets" and snuggles and "We love this goofy, affiliative, houndy boy!" Barney loves meeting doggie friends and he may be able to be roommates with another medium or large pooch. He is not a fan of the feline kind. He would be an awesome hiking and cuddle buddy for active adults or a family with teens! Come meet this cutie pie at the Adoption Center.
