Hello future family! My name is Tangerine (female), but sometimes foster mom just calls me Tangy. I just came to MN with all my brothers and sisters and live now with two of my siblings. My mom was a Husky/Shepard mix, and I also can be described as Lab and Great Pyrenees…so my paws are big! Foster mom says I have the cutest curly tail ever that wiggles almost non-stop! I am the smallest of the siblings and I am more introverted than my siblings, but when it comes to cuddles and kisses with the humans…I am the master!!!My foster home has so many dogs, and it is a good socialization experience for me! I love the resident dogs (4-yo male, 8-yo female), and older foster brother Jonah. I follow around the female dog because I think she looks like my mom! I get along with all the dogs and listen really well and redirect to their signals and cues, so I know when it’s play time and when it is not. Although, being an introvert, I like to lay in my kennel and chew a toy…is that laziness? I think not. As a puppy, I am still getting used to lots of things. We are working on kennel training, and I eat my meals and treats in my kennel…and because of that, I realize my kennel is a super awesome place. I eat out of a puzzle bowl…because foster mom says I can eat a regular bowl in 2 seconds. Potty training is going super well! I have learned to ring the bell to potty outside, but sometimes I just ring it to go outside…I don’t get treats when I do that. While I had some accidents inside the first day I was here, I haven’t since then, and foster mom is so proud! Speaking of outside…I love being outside! All the smells and plants and bushes…there is so much to explore! I am not as confident as my siblings, but am learning really fast! I have even played on some of the agility equipment in the yard, which foster mom always cheerleads for me. Laying in the sun on the deck is the best, and I love the garden hose and follow the spray because water is super fun. Inside, me and my siblings have our own bedroom with our kennels and lots of toys and stuff. I have been playing with squeaky toys a lot, but really like playing with my siblings. We have started some training, and we are working on impulse control also. I am really good at sits and downs and am learning to be patient for food or treats by sitting nicely. Foster mom says I am super smart and will do anything for a treat (=easy to train!). I have learned to not bite/nip at the humans, and that I only get pets and love when I have “four on the floors” (not jumping!). But mostly, I am just being a puppy and having a good time. I also have not destroyed anything, and for that, foster mom is super proud!Are you the family for me? Maybe you have an older dog who needs a dog?
