Minta is a friendly and outgoing girl that loves to hang out with her people. Minta is awesome because she understands the need for alone time. Minta is rather independent and sometimes prefers to do her own thing. She entertains herself with toys or sniffing the grass, or even taking herself to a soft spot to nap. Minta would love to meet all doggy siblings and human family members before going home. Come by KCPP Swope Park and meet Minta today!She recently went on a Dog Day Out! Here's what our volunteer had to say: Minta did so well on her day out. She was well behaved and is a great listener. She seemed really comfortable in the car once we got her in, so we took the long way home. Minta was really into toys, the squeakier the better and is super playful. She enjoyed playing fetch, tug-a-war, and keep away. She also seems to enjoy being talked to/praised. We didn't have any accidents so I believe she's potty trained. Minta wasn't really into taking treats from my hand but she would eat them from a food bowl.My ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possilbe. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, who are deteriorating in the shelter environment or who have more restrictions on homes they can go to find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived. Did you know that black dogs are often overlooked in the shelter? They are oftentimes the dogs who stay in shelter care the longest and are chosen last due to appearance. Break the stigma and adopt a black dog today. Remember, black dogs are the best dogs. Their hair doesn't show up on black clothing and their coats don't appear as dirty as they may be.
