Preet ACCT-A-139886 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to length of stay and lack of space for incoming dogs. Preet must have confirmed placement with an ADOPTER, FOSTER, or RESCUE PARTNER by Wednesday, July 12th by 3:00pm. Should Hope's medical or behavioral status change, her urgency and timeline for placement may also change. Meet Preet! He is a gentleman of many talents, his most notable being that he can win the heart over anyone that comes in contact with him! Preets story began on June 7th after he was found roaming behind someone's house. They described him as being super friendly. Due to his overly-friendly and aroused nature, he would do best in an adult-only home. Preet is extremely playful, affectionate, mouthy and friendly. He is working on what is appropriate to put his mouth on and what is not. Sometimes, he demands attention by being a bit nippy so, this is why we recommend training courses after going home with Preet! Medically Mr. Preet came to us on June 7th in healthy shape but was assessed for skin conditions on June 8th. It was noted by staff "He has patches of hair loss around his back legs and feet. Skin appears very irritated and red. He was assessed to have an ear infection and inflamed skin. This was treated accordingly by medical professionals. He will do best in a home where his skin and ears can be monitored closely. Staff noted on 06/14: "Preet was standing at the front of his kennel with a loose body and nice wagging tail. He allowed me to leash him easily and exited and returned without issue. Preet is a very excited guy! He is up for anything and will just keep on wagging his tail. He loved sniffing the rain outside and tried to greet anyone he came across. In the eval room he was delighted to receive a lick mat and just absolutely went to town on it! He allowed me to pet him while he licked it and happily left to go back to the kennel, leaving his peanut butter behind. He is very much a puppy in his mannerisms and could use training but I'm sure he'll be up for it! Staff noted on 06/08 : "Preet is an absolute sweetheart! He is constantly wagging and wiggly and wants to greet everyone. He allows all over handling and will lean right into you. He is super handler oriented and just wants to be by your side. Loves peanut butter! Staff noted on 06/07: " He was able to be checked in easily. He is very treat motivated and loves cheese so I put some on the wall and he stood there and licked it off while he was both vaccinated and microchipped without any signs of negative behaviors.
