Adopt Trevor a Brown/Chocolate - with White Rottweiler / Mixed dog in Gilbert

Trevor is a puppy between 6-8 months old. He had a really rough start in life, but today he is doing great! On April 30 Trevor was found in a puddle of blood on the side of the highway, unable to walk. He was either a victim of a hit and run accident, or someone threw him out the window of a moving car. He had two broken legs, one front, one rear, and his jaw was broken and right above the gum line of his upper front teeth, the bone broke and his front teeth were pushed in and the bottom of his teeth were facing his throat. We took him in for surgery as soon as he was stable and they had to take his upper teeth out. He still has his k9 teeth, and when look at his you can't even tell because his lip covers where his teeth should be. He eats just fine and the fracture is totally healed now. After the surgery on his mouth, we had planned to take him in to have surgery on his legs, but the day after he had surgery he tested positive for parvo, like his life wasn't bad enough! Thankfully he survived the parvo without too much trouble, however the orthopedic vets did not want Trevor in their hospital until he was completely cleared of it, which wasn't until about 2.5 weeks after he was injured. He was lucky and his legs miraculously healed straight with only the help of his splints and the orthopedic vets said that he shouldn't need surgery in the future! He runs, and swims, and jumps without too much trouble at all. We noticed in the beginning that if he was over active that he would limp, but that is to be expected. He just got his splints off on June 18 and he had to be completely contained and resting until then. He still had some luck on his side, because our trainer, Karen with Dynamic Dog Training AZ offered to board and train him for free because she felt sorry for the little guy. On June 23 he went to Dewey, and was able to escape the heat in the Valley where he has been mastering skills such as down, sit, come, place, stay, and walk on and off leash in a perfect heal. He has gotten to go on field trips to Prescott and experience the real world a bit, and he has made a lot of friends and has gotten to socialize with other dogs and people. He has been doing great. He likes to talk back sometimes, and we call him little Mr. Sassy pants. He has a great personality and lot of character! Kind of the class clown for sure. He's really fun. His new owner will need to go to Dewey to go through a training session with Karen so that you can learn how Trevor was trained. You will also need to have an open mind to using an ecollar (on low levels) to get the most out of Trevor's training. Karen will teach you all about that and show you the proper way to communicate with Trevor through the ecollar. It's like having a 1/2 mile leash on him while he is wearing it! Super great tool when used correctly. I promise you there is nothing inhumane about it. You will need to purchase his ecollar, that is not included but his training is valued at $3000, and that is included, so that's a great deal! Who wouldnt want a completely trained puppy?,!? It doesn't get much better then that. We already know that Trevor must be destined to do great things on this earth, otherwise he wouldn't have survived everything that he has been through.
