Samson is a 2.5 year old German Shepherd who is incredibly smart, playful, and extremely loyal. He loves to join in for a run or a walk and fetch his ball. He loves to be outside and will never stop catching snowballs thrown to him or sticks thrown into the lake. He is a snuggly boy who wants to be with you but also likes time to nap on his own. He is great with kids, but very protective and will bark to guard the house or your family when out on a walk if another dog is nearby. He needs a fenced in yard with a good latch, he can open any type of doorknob from a round house doorknob to a gate latch. Ideal home is not on a street w/ foot traffic. Samson knows all basic commands, sit, stay, lay down, crate, and knows to release a stay with the word "free". He is not food aggressive and is very good with food being given or taken away. He will be protective over food over another dog. He can play with other dogs under the right circumstances but is initially defensive and barks a lot.
