05/24/24 05:50DOG DAY OUT REPORT Location: Mission Peak, Fremont6-mile hike Encountered: Dog, People and CowsThree Words to Describe Me are: Energetic, Strong, AffectionateNotes from My Walker: Kash was easy to harness and did well on the ride to Mission Peak. This boy definitely has energy and taking him to Mission Peak was perfect. On the trail, we encountered cows walking right past us, and he just stood in amazement. We also met several dogs on the trail. While he did pull in their direction a few times, he was easily redirected and didn’t cause a scene—not even a bark. He sniffed and met some of the dogs without any issues. Kash loves grass and sniffs everything on the trail. He knows commands such as `sit,` `down,` and `let`s go.` Although he pulls a little on the leash and could use some leash work, this isn`t a major issue. He is very affectionate and quickly warmed up to me, giving lots of face licks. He loves to play and likes to jump up on your chest, which might be a bit alarming due to his energy, but it`s his way of showing affection. He gets a little mouthy during play, but a firm `Don`t` followed by praise did the trick.Kash is perfect for someone who loves the outdoors and enjoys long hikes and walks. He is ready for adoption and would make a great companion for an active individual family.02/03/24 17:19Kash – A1297608Hi, I`m Kash! I`m 2 years old, and some months. I`ve been in the shelter for, like, almost 200 days, a long long time. I really, really like treats! I can do cool tricks too, like sitting, lying down, and going on agility things – super fun! Maybe I`ve been here so long because I`m super energetic, and staying in my kennel is really hard. I just wanna play and run outside! Sometimes my big feelings might be a bit too much, but I really want a family who`s patient and likes doing tricks with me.
