Spike is our special little man! This 9-10 yr old 14lb PRT mix Spike is looking for a calm home to live out all his nap dreams. As a very distinguished gentleman he is good on the leash, quiet, able to be left alone, and motivated by treats. He has a loyal fanbase of fosters who love his nap-loving personality and ease of leaving him alone. Spike is begging to go for walks and chase some squirrels with his ideal home. He is looking for a patient, forever home that appreciates his request to be a cuddly, lap dog that enjoys taking multiple walks a day to smell the roses. His great big puppy dog eyes and play time poses make him a master of first impressions. Spike would do best in a home with no cats and calmer dogs that respect his boundaries. If you're looking for a buddy to share quiet times on the couch, leisurely walks, and your snacks, Spike is your little man. Spike recently underwent surgery to remove a mass on his head, and while it was entirely removed with narrow margins, it is possible due to the nature of the tumor it may have spread elsewhere in his body. However clinically, Spike is thriving. He energetic and spry, eats well, and still very much enjoys his life. He's full of life and ready to share that with someone forever!
