This is Ace, he originally was part of an unwanted litter that ended up at an impound in 2017, they were 6 weeks old when we rescued them. They were known as the Pasta Pups and Ace was originally named Fettuccine. Fast-forward to 2024 and Ace was found running loose and taken to animal control for temporary impound until we had space on intake. Chip was scanned and trace back to Paws and claws for adoption. Animal control officers made contact with the family who was on vacation, but we're gonna be moving and did not want the dog back. We're only going to reclaim him to euthanize..? Not here to slam the original owners, just explaining the tragedy of the situation, as he has been terribly frightened and shaking in his kennel trying to figure out what is happening. Now it's been a couple weeks since his arrival and things are looking up. We can only do better and find him a loving home that will keep him until the end of his time on this earth hopefully.Adoption processPaws and Claws Humane Society (PCHS) is a non-profit, mostly volunteer organization that rescues and shelters homeless cats and dogs until they can be adopted into their “forever” homes. We want our clients to understand that adopting and animal is a lifetime responsibility and commitment to that animal. All prospective adopters must show (at the time of adoption) a valid drivers license or other acceptable identification to verify their name, address, and age. Adopters must be 18 yrs of age. Children under the age of 12 years old need to be present at time of viewing shelter cats or dogs. After submitting an application, there is generally a processing period of 1-3 days in order to complete all pre-adoption checks and paperwork before an adopter may take possession of the animal.
