Meet Eve - Foster-to-adopt trial available!Adoption Application:https://forms.gle/GEtBfbJsxxztyycP7 ---------------- Meet EveCurrently located in a foster home in Mississippi, waiting for her chance to travel north to find a forever family! - UTD on age-appropriate vaccines- HW/ Negative- UTD on flea/tick and heartworm prevention- Spayed Eve is believed to be around 5 years old and a pit mix . She is loyal through and through . She gives 100% of herself . Eve is kind and gentle . She is a big cuddle bug . Her only down fall is she thinks she is chihuahua size when in reality she is a very strong girl . She does well with other dogs and cats. Eve enjoys riding and playing in the water. She walks on a leash well and is house and crate trained. Over time she has to be coaxed in the crate more because she prefers to sleep on the bed or couch and she does extremely well . She has never had any accidents in the house or crate. She loves all people ( vet included ) . She does love kids so much , but with her strength small children or elderly are probably not ideal for her. Her bark is fierce but her heart is that of a gentle giant. Eve has never shown signs of aggression with our dogs, cats, or children. We have an older female that does try to show her authority sometimes and Eve has stood her ground once but when commanded to stop, she did. She sits on command and takes food so gently. She came to us missing patches of hair with scars and starving still feeding 9 puppies that were dumped with her and the dad in a box on the side of a road. She sat guarding her babies with the saddest eyes and sweetest heart. Waiting to be rescued. She was kind from the beginning. She protected her babies well, you had to show her that you were not going to do what had been done to them before. She will melt your heart quickly. When she first got to her Mississippi rescuer, she had some anxiety. We aren't sure what all had been through. We were patient and still, she wanted to be loved and played fetch with a ball almost every day. She eats well with people and other dogs around but they have fed her separately. She will sit and take food from your hand so gently. Eve is most definitely more than a dog she is the best friend for life material. There is not a soul that has come to our home that hasn't fallen in love with her.
