Atticus is a five-year-old, 85-pound lab mix found hanging out by the local chicken joint for a couple of weeks until someone got him and dropped him at a vet. It didn’t take long for him to win their hearts, and they couldn’t bring themselves to take him to the shelter. When no one came looking for him, they asked if we could take him. While we were waiting for space to open up, the clinic staff helped by taking turns taking him home with them and discovered that he was great in the house, great with kids and other dogs, and loved to play fetch. One of his hosts was a beekeeper and would refer to him simply as “Bee.” During the day, Atticus “Bee” hangs out with them in the office, and everyone falls in love with this seemingly perfect pet.
