HelloZeek is 14 years old. He has arthritis so going up and down steps is challenging. This was my daughter and granddaughters dog. They live in New York in a 3 story walk up. So zeek was having trouble walking up and down 3 flights of stairs. He sometimes had accidents while walking down. I kept him here in New Jersey so that he could live longer. The only option in NY was to put him down. I didn’t want my grand daughter to go to her first year of college said about the dog she has had since she was 5-6 years old. But I am not a good companion for zeek. I work long hours and I am a 2 year cancer survivor. I am tired most of the time because of the meds I take and I have a lot of fatigue and arthritis myself. Everyone loves Zeek and we are too emotional to put him to sleep just because of his age. If you would like to adopt a senior dog, he is also deaf…… I would hope you have time for him.
