Hi Brittanie, Happy holidays to you. I am looking for a medium-sized dog such as a cattle dog to be my companion and also protect. I have been looking for awhile because I want just the right dog. I don't want the standard protection type breed such as German Shepherds, Dobies, Rotties etc. A friend of mine from years ago, had a very intelligent, well-balanced, protection trained cattle dog, so I knew it was possible if a person could find the right dog. A well-balanced dog is important. The dad sounds like he has the temperament I have been looking for in a dog. Have you seen his characteristics in any of the pups? Do you have any adults similar to him available? Thank you...Pam
