Adopt Cody a Blue Budgie bird in Lombard, IL (25466031)

Lombard, IL

We would like to introduce Cody, he came into our rescue In early April with an injured wing. It was badly bruised and we had hoped it would heal properly and he would be able to hold it in a normal position, but it appears this may be a permanent look Cody will have to live with. The new pictures were taken in mid June after he had time to heal and feel better. He was nippy at first, but probably because he was never held by his former owner. This is why we are seeking an experienced adopter. After a little work he would sit on his foster moms fingers for ten mins or more. Many parakeets are pretty easy to tame with a little patience and time. Cody is just over 2yrs old and a attractive bird. Due to his handicap he may be picked on by other birds so he will need to caged alone for his safety. He was near another bird and they chirped back and forth. His adoption charge is $11.00 and he does not come with a cage. Our rescue does a home visit prior to adoption, so all potential adopters need to live within 30 mis of Aurora, IL If you would like an application or have questions please contact Debbie at
