Woof! Woof! I’m Koda! Pleased to meet you!Don’t let my bigger size intimidate you because I’m really just a big, chunky baby!I adore people and I’d love nothing more than to cuddle with you and lay on your feet. When I get attached to you, I won’t leave your side or go very far. I’m always up for going anywhere you go. I’m a pretty active boy so I’m all about the walks, playtime, and swimming. I’m a great loose leash walker and the perfect companion to take on a hike or stroll through the neighborhood.I have experience living with both males and females and I do great with kids too! I like having doggie friends, though sometimes, I need slow introductions.Is that a treat I see? I will totally sit and lie down for a treat if you ask nicely.Did I mention that sometimes I can be a big baby? High winds, thunderstorms, and fireworks scare me, so I’ll need some snuggles to help calm me down. My previous owner played music to drown out the scary noise and that helped a lot. Any chance I can share your bed for the night? I’m the best, warm snuggler, but I can also sleep independently in my own doggie bed if those are the house rules.I know there will be times you have to leave me home alone, like when you go to the store to stock up on my treats. I can get a little anxious when I’m alone and it helps if I have some chew toys to keep me occupied. And make sure you keep shoes, plastic bottles, and metal cans out of my reach. Sometimes I get a little confused about what is or isn’t a chew toy. With your guidance, though, I’ll be sure to chomp on only my approved toys and treats.My last person lost his home and couldn’t keep me so I’m on my second stay at the Austin Animal Center, through no fault of my own. I’d like nothing more than to go home with my forever family as soon as possible because I sure do miss snuggling and cuddling!
