Evie is a six-month-old, 38-pound lab mix puppy that has not had much good happen to her in her life. She was picked up as a stray by a shelter with an injured eye that we’ll remove once she is healthy enough to have surgery. Unfortunately, the sad life she has led, and then ending up in a shelter, has given her Demodex mange, which is a non-contagious skin condition they get when their immunity is down and they are stressed. To make matters worse, she had a foster home, but the foster’s dog didn’t like her, so she’s now sitting in a vet clinic cage when she should be playing and getting lots of love and attention. The vet said that she’s been great with everyone there. She crate trained and is working on housetraining, which is tough to learn when you sit in a cage all day. Evie needs a break!
