Comanche is a cute 3-year old male Black Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound mix who was surrendered by his family because they were physically not in a position to give him the care and attention that he loved (and deserved) so much. Comanche has a sleek black long-haired coat with small patches of white on his neck/belly, short legs, a long body, and a long fluffy tail. Comanche has a beautiful face with soulful dark brown eyes, a splash of white on his chin, a black button nose, and large floppy ears. Comanche was originally rescued from a 'backyard' breeder who provided the information about his Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound background .. When you see this handsome little guy in person, he looks very much like a long-haired Dachshund mix (or a miniature Black Labrador Retriever with a very long body). Our photographer dubbed him a special 'one-of-a-kind' designer dog. His previous family told us that Comanche has been in their home since he was a tiny puppy. Comanche was great with a 2-year old toddler who was in the home quite often. Comanche shared his home with several cats and two dogs. He was completely ok with the cats, and he loved the female dog in his home (but sometimes had issues with the male dog). Comanche has a very sweet personality. He bonds quickly with his favorite care-giver and tends to be protective of his person. Comanche pretty much has never met a toy that he didn't like or enjoy. He has always been kept indoors and is housebroken. Comanche is a petite boy who weighs just 25 lbs.
