Cowgirl was surrendered to our shelter after she jumped several fences in town and was going after chickens. She is very high energy and has a strong prey drive so she cannot live with any livestock, small animals, cats, or small dogs. She is friendly with bigger dogs. She is friendly once she settles in, but does not like being grabbed at or poked and prodded. She should not go to a home with children. Due to her tendency to go after smaller animals and livestock, as well as the way she looks, we are not going to adopt her to someone in the country. She does well in her kennel inside, so should be housebroken. She is a fence jumper and more than likely will not crate for long periods of time. She will crate for a few hours while . Given her extreme energy and high maintenance levels of both German Shepherd and Huskies, we ask that only experienced individuals adopt her. We need her to be within a successful home that understand her. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative and on prevention. All adoptions are first come first serve the day of availability. ECHS does not reserve adoptable animals for the public for any reason.
