Brutus is a blast from the past- he was adopted from PACC several years ago and returned to the shelter through absolutely no fault of his own. While the volunteers who loved him then love him just as much today, we don’t want him to spend any more time in the shelter. He belongs in a home! Here’s what some of his friends- old and new- have said about this big beefcake:“Brutus is the best boy. I would describe him as a gentle giant. He walks beautifully on a leash and is so laid back about his walk. He enjoys Kongs, but definitely needs the strong xxl type! He is such a great boy. I love walking him every time I’m at PACC. He enjoyed a pup cup with me last week and he was so gentle about licking it and cleaning up any mess that was made. I love this boy so much!”“Big boy Brutus is my big baby! I love him dearly. He enjoys toys and needs extreme chewer toys (i.e. black kong brand). He is great at communicating and when he brings you his toy, he is inviting you to play with him! He loves a good game of fetch. I walked him after he came back from foster and he still walked very nicely. He is such a doll! Love him!”“I`ve spent time with Brutus on numerous occasions and have always found him to be very friendly. He eagerly greets me when I enter his kennel and is quick to show me he can sit and give paw when I offer him treats. He`s very food motivated but is not pushy and takes treats gently. He’s a sweet, people-oriented guy who appreciates attention.”“I met Brutus for the first time today. His size is a bit intimidating, but he’s an easygoing dog. He is a good loose-leash walker- he did stop to smell things a few times and wouldn’t budge until he was done sniffing! He knows “sit” and takes treats nicely.”Brutus was housebroken in his former home and when he gets to know you, he’ll tuck his head under your arm for pets. During a stay in a foster home Brutus was a quiet houseguest, was again housebroken, and enjoyed sleeping on his own dog bed (a big one, obviously). He loved chewing on toys and was described as a loving dog who wants to be near his people. His foster said that Brutus is a very good dog who loves walks, going for car rides, and lounging at home. Brutus would love to find a home where someone can be with him most of the time, or where he can work on crate training for when he is left at home by himself.
