Cyrus is a 10 month old, 35 pound mutt. Our best guess is that he is a Shepherd and Hound mix. He is a sweet shy boy who loves to play and does well with other dogs. Cats scare him. Cyrus came to us from an overcrowded Missouri shelter with his littermate Zelda. He spent three months in the shelter waiting for help which is hard on a pup. He was scared and shy when he arrived because he had no experience outside of a kennel. Cyrus has made so much progress in a very short time because he got the benefit of going to the Iowa Medical and Classification Center at Oakdale for training. Cyrus is now a well-rounded pup. He was trained using all positive reinforcement. Cyrus will now approach people for attention knowing they will touch him kindly and reward him for his courage. He is housetrained, kennel trained, knows his basic commands and does well on a leash. Cyrus is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm tested. Cyrus requires a fenced yard so he can safely run and play. If you would like to meet Cyrus, please complete the adoption application on our website: www.furfunrescue.org.
