Meet Mary! Mary is a 7 year old, 7# Domestic Longhaired Dilute Calico. Mary is as sweet as can be! She is social, loving and affectionate. Enjoys watching out the windows at what is going on outside. Doesn't mind being brushed and loves a good chin & head scratch! Mary was taken in as a stray kitty several years ago, her finder had her spayed and had some bad teeth removed that needed to come out. The other house kitties that lived at the house where Mary was found, did not like her or accept her being there. Mary was afraid of the other cats ganging up on her and felt threatened by them. Mary was let to go back outside as an indoor/outdoor garage kitty to get away from the torment of the other kitties. She unfortunately ended up with a severe case of fleas that made her skin get infected and some of her hair fall out from the flea dermatitis, that the fleas caused her to have. She has been recovering here at FCAC from those pesky little critters while here with us! Her hair is growing in and she is feeling much better and now ready for her new forever home! Mary still looks a bit rough though, as her gorgeous white fur has been stained from the skin issues she was dealing with. It will grow back and be beautiful once again, but it is going to take some time! Mary's new owner will need to be sure to keep her on monthly flea prevention, to help keep her from ever having to go through the ordeal that she has! Mary should be fine with kids and with dogs if proper intros are made. She should also do fine with another really chilled out kitty or maybe even a kitten. It may take her just a bit of time to adjust to her new home with other cats, but as long as it is done properly, should be fine. Adult Cat adoption fees are $50 each.
