How this pet arrived: Raphael was brought in by her previous owner. Why this pet is the one for you: This is Raphael! Raphael is a beautiful red-eared slider who is ready and waiting to meet her new family! Red-eared sliders are an invasive species in California and should go to prepared homes where they can live out their days in comfort, without being able to run (er, slowly walk) away. Although sliders can live in huge (100+ gallon) indoor aquariums, their ideal living situation is an outdoor pond with room to swim, bask, and explore. Raphael's pond should be established and bioactive or equipped with a filter to keep their pool clean! Red-eared sliders live long lives (20+ years), so Raphael needs someone to provide for her long-term. Raphael does enjoy turtle pellets, but she will need to be supplemented with a species-specific omnivorous diet. Raphael can't wait to bask in the sun in her new home! Don't forget that little, tiny turtle fence to keep her from going on an adventure. If you think Raphael is the one for you, ask about her today!
