ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED! Gorgeous TIPSTER is a 3-4 year old 50 lb. English Pointer-type mixed breed boy looking for a home. It has taken us some time to get a read on this handsome devil. He suffered extreme neglect and was dangerously emaciated when he was confiscated and taken to a rural shelter. While his body has recovered from starvation and he's now a perfectly healthy weight, it has taken more time for him to heal mentally. His obsession with food was extreme but we have gotten him to the place where he enjoys life's other pleasures, zoomies, belly rubs, ear rubbies and walks with his people. Tipster is so happy when he spots a friend and bonds closely to those he loves. He's best suited to a home with a physically-fenced yard where he can zoom and play. He's completely disinterested in other dogs and is best suited to home where he will be an only dog and get all of the treats and all of the attention. Tipster is a bright boy who responds well to training. You'll be hard-pressed to find a dog who will love you more than Tipster. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
