Kira is a handsome young (about 18 months old) brindle Shepherd / Pittie mix. She is curious about cats and gets along nicely with the little Jack Russell Terrier sharing her home. For about 3 months, Kira has been training with a professional, and knows sit, down, stay, heel, come, and door manners (but could still benefit from more practice). She has high energy and often gets the “zoomies”, but also loves a good cuddle on the couch. Kira is currently taking an allergy medication which is potentially thought to be food related. With her athletic frame, puppy energy, and outgoing personality, she will blossom in a home that provides lots of activity, a space to run and “stretch her legs”, and an engaged owner!If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.Kira is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.
