Meet Saffron, an approximately 8-year-old female German Shepherd.Saffron arrived at our shelter as a stray with her friend Parsley. They were not claimed by and owner and are now in search of their new, forever homes! Parsley and Saffron do not need to be adopted together but they do get along very well. Saffron is a very sweet, polite girl who is going to make someone an amazing addition to their family! Saffron is an older dog and we have noticed she would benefit from a joint supplement and/or pain meds in the future as she is an older dog. We always recommend testing all our dogs with any other potential family members prior to adoption to ensure the best outcome for all!Come meet Saffron today, she is located at the Ellensburg Animal Shelter.If you are interested in adopting this pet, please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday.A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known.
