This precious little-miss is Greta, and she’s hoping for her own forever home…just in time for the holidays! Greta (female) is 4.5 months old (born on 7/31), and is a shepherd [possibly heeler?] mix of sorts. She currently weighs-in between 30-35lbs, so could be upwards of 75-85lbs (best guess) when fully grown! She is the sweetest, softest pup. Her foster family says she has the most beautiful, unique coloring…with striped toenails! Greta is housebroken and is a very good listener! She responds well to voice commands to come, stay, etc. She is also kennel-trained, and goes into her crate willingly with the “kennel-up” command. She sleeps 7hrs @ nighttime without a fuss! One of Greta’s favorite activities is playing catch with the tennis ball. She loves to be active, and also plays very well with the foster family’s resident Great Pyrenees. Although very energetic when it’s play-time, she loves to be held and cuddled when it’s time to relax. As of right now she has not yet been exposed to cats, but she shows very little interest in chickens…so we’d venture to guess she’d do ok with kitties. Greta’s being fostered in a home with lots of land so hasn’t had a lot of on-leash exposure; she will need continued practice on her leash skills with her forever family. She loves to chew, but if there’s a toy/bone available she’s good about not chewing on things she shouldn’t. She’s a smart cookie who is more than ready to begin her forever life!
