Thea is a beautiful 4-1/2 year old female Boxer mix who was brought to the HSOV on November 16, 2023 by a Good Samaritan who found her taking a stroll on Franklin Street in Marietta Ohio. Thea was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped. We hope that someone will recognize her and help us reunite Thea with her family. Thea has a dark brown/brindle short smooth coat with white markings on her chest and a teeny tiny tail. She has a sweet Boxer face with hopeful trusting eyes, a chubby muzzle, and short floppy ears. We had taken Thea's preliminary photos when she was 'behind bars' in a floor crate since there had been so many intakes that all kennels were full. Thea still looked beautiful but also very sad in those first photos. Thea was looking very happy (and even more beautiful) when these updated photos were taken on November 24, 2023. Thanks to HSOV Kennel Tech Jocelyn Jackson for accompanying Thea on that cool sunny afternoon for glamour pictures. Thea has a super friendly 'Type A' personality, and she was in love with Jocelyn whose kind compassionate touch and encouragement truly made Thea's day. Jocelyn made sure that Thea knew what a 'good girl' she was and that she did a great job of posing for her photo session. Thea weighs 46 lbs and walks fairly well on a leash. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Thea was held for three days so that her family would have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership.
