Alice is an 8-year old female Beagle mix who was brought to the HSOV on November 16, 2023 by a Good Samaritan who found her strolling around the Walmart parking lot on Pike Street in Marietta Ohio. Unfortunately she was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped .. So we hope that someone will recognize her and help us reunite her with her family. Alice has a white short smooth coat with subtle black/brown spotting, a long black/white tail, and a beautiful face with dark brown eyes, a dark chocolate brown nose, a long slender muzzle, and brown short floppy ears. This little sweetheart may be an older girl, but she is definitely 'young at heart'. Alice was quite active when HSOV Lead Canine Kennel Tech Jared Nash accompanied her for glamour photos soon after her arrival around 3pm. She thoroughly enjoyed attention from Jared and delighted in following him around the photo area, parking lot, and ornamental grass before heading back inside the shelter. Alice weighs 35 lbs and walks fairly well on a leash. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Alice will be held for three days so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership.If you have any questions or would like to adopt Alice, please reach out to the adoption group directly.
