Meet Penny! Penny is a 4-5-year-old, 75-pound Great Pyrenees or St Bernard and probably a border collie or other breed mix. She is a beautiful and loving dog who is looking for a calm home that she can call her own. Penny would prefer a quiet home life with a comfy bed and lots of snuggles. She walks well on and off the leash, and has great recall off-leash. Penny is house-trained, crate trained, and knows to sit and stay. She loves riding in the car and does fantastic at the groomers. Penny adores being petted and loves people. She has been around children 10 years old and up and has been great! She has done fine with her doggie friends, but she is definitely a people dog! Penny had bloodwork as well as a dental cleaning at her vet visit. She did need a broken tooth extracted. Interested in becoming a forever home for Penny? For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
