Hello, my name is Max, people call me Maximus or Maximillian. As long as you give mesome love I’ll answer to all of them. I’m about a year and a half old, 40 pound male lab mix so still a puppy. I came to Michigan on my own, no playmates came with me, but my foster brotherimmediately wanted to be my friend. It took me a couple days to realize he wanted toplay, but since then we play all the time. I got to meet two foster cousins and play withthem too. One of them doesn’t usually like other dogs, but she likes me. I am superspecial. I love to watch the squirrels in the trees in the back yard. I enjoy being outsideas much as possible, sometimes I just don’t want to come back in yet.I still have a few accidents here and there in the house, but I found out it’s no fun to gopotty in my crate. I sleep in a crate every night. At first I didn’t want to have anything todo with it, but now I know I get to sleep in peace and get a treat every night for being agood boy and going in. I am a very smart boy and if you want to take the time, I will learnall the tricks. My foster family believes I would make a great service dog, or emotionalsupport dog.I take my treats very gently, but I do like to take my time eating it so I’ll bring it into theother room before I start eating. I haven’t quite figured out why my foster mom asks meto sit down to get the treat, but my foster brother does. At first you may want to makesure I have a private safe place to eat my meals if I’m going to have a new brother orsister. I am protective of my food when I first arrive. However, if you want some of myfood you can have it.Kids are okay, but it takes me a little bit of time to warm up to them. I can be shy attimes. Please don’t just reach out to touch the top of my head, let me sniff your handand you can scratch my chin first. I love to get rub downs all over my body, but beaware, my fur likes to find a new place to lay on the floor. I like to nibble on your fingers,toes, and arms to get your attention. I don’t mean to hurt you.I love resting my head and paws on my foster moms leg when I lay on the sofa with her.It’s kind of like having a pillow. I grabbed an extra blanket for my crate the first day so Icould have a pillow to sleep on. Will you be my pillow, I’ll love you forever. My adoption fee is $300.00.
