Patsy is MY FAVORITE dog at the shelter. When I need some affection and loving, I know I can count on her to be there for me. She would be there for you also. She is a two-year-old 68 pound retriever lab mix (possibly black mouth cur) that came to the Mesquite Animal Shelter as a stray. She is spayed. She's a beautiful dog with a reddish gold coat and eyes that look like they've been lined with eyeliner. I think she's being overlooked because she is reactive at the window. Can you blame her? She wants to get out and socialize with you and show you what a great dog she is! Once she's out in the yard, she's all cuddles and love. She stays close. She comes to you and puts her head on your lap. She loves to have her ears scratched. She enjoys being brushed and petted. And she rewards you with kisses! She's very gentle. You'd almost call her gentle giant, except that she's not that large! She comes when you call her. She definitely wants to please. She doesn't appear to know the sit command but does take treats gently. She's well behaved, friendly, sweet, and happy. She has the right balance of being playful and calm. She appears to be non-reactive to other dogs but if you have another dog, we suggest you ask the shelter for a dog test. She walks great on a leash, and she does her business when she gets out into the yard. She deserves a loving home because she has lots of love to give. Patsy would like nothing better than to hang out with you during family time.
