Hey! My name is Smokey and I'm an old gentleman kitty. I am looking for my retirement home where I can spend my days laying around and talking to you when I want to be fed. I'm a pretty social guy and I like my kitty roommate here at the shelter. His name is Soft Serve. We both have FIV, which you can learn more about later. If you'd like to visit us, we are at the shelter until further notice! We are not required to go home together, we just share a room for now. - I am FIV positive - that means I'm immunocompromised so I'd like to be an indoor-only kitty.- FIV is only spread in cats but isn't spread through casual contact. It's spread through blood contact such as fighting or mating. I can share a litterbox and food bowls with another cat without them getting FIV.- With proper care and love, an FIV kitty like me can live a long and happy life - so please don't let this scare you away.
