Thelma is a very special little Great Pyr mix girl puppy who was born around the middle of October to a stray momma dog who is a Great Pyrenees mix girl. We have seen pics of her running from the people who work at the Saw Mill yard that she lives in and has raised her puppies there. A kind rescue lady took the puppies home once she learned of their living there in the lumberyard. Not a place for puppies who have been weaned and need good nutritional food to grow up and develop into really special and loving dog companions to families who love the bigger breed of dogs. This girl Thelma is sweet as can be and she is very warm and loving with the foster family who is raising her right now. There were 8 puppies in her litter and they are all safely being cared for by foster families who as showing them what good lives they can have living inside a house and not a lumberyard under dangerous, heavy saw mill equipment. Thelma is currently 18 pounds and 3 momths of age. We expect her to grow to be a 80 pound girl tops. We do not know who her dad was but we did see the pics of her momma and she is solid white. Thelma is an attention loving little girl who would spend hours in her foster Mom's lap if she could. She is the first to jump up for scratches and often competes with her brothers to get the attention. She is a beautiful little girl who cant help her bad hair days. She spends her days playing and napping. She does well with getting a bath and sits good for toenail dremeling. She would do great with an older dog to show her the ropes because she loves her foster Mom's dogs. She is good around all dogs, and shows no aggression toward cats although she does get excited and wants to play with them. She will make a great pet for a family with or without children. The Great Pyrenees is a bred that loves to be the guardian of livestock. They are widely described as demonstrating the trait of gentle giants who are good with kids and mixes well with any family animal if socialized early. They are both intelligent and independent breeds that need training to keep them from becoming bored. Their breeds represent a calm, well mannered but serious dogs with great devotion to family. They love the cold weather and enjoy being outdoors which makes her perfect for the cold climate states. Thelma is looking for a family who will raise her as a pet and not a working livestock dog.
