Meet WessonSay hello to Wesson! Wesson is an adorable terrier mix who is approximately 2.5 years old and currently weighs 19 pounds. He came to our rescue from a pretty stressful environment where there were 70 dogs all living in a small home together. Wesson is a happy, playful boy, and every day his personality is coming out more and more. He loves to play with his toys and explore his environment here at the rescue. Wesson is selective with his canine friends, so would do best in a home where he is the only dog. He is also crate trained for his meals and sleeping. Wesson would do best in a quiet, patient home that will allow him to get comfortable at his own pace. He isn’t a fan of being picked up suddenly, but if you allow him to come to you, he is very affectionate and enjoys receiving attention. Wesson has been working with a dog trainer recently and has been doing amazing! He has learned basic commands and walks great on the leash. It has really been wonderful for his confidence and we couldn’t be happier to see him so motivated to learn. He is very smart, loves his treats and will be a loyal and loving companion. Wesson is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to Clearwater, Florida on December 23rd. He is neutered, up to date on all shots, microchipped and his adoption fee is $400. The fee includes the transport cost. ***Please note: You MUST be available to pick up Wesson at our adoption event on Saturday morning 12/23. *Wesson is Chagas positive and has started his treatment. Chagas is a curable disease. Our rescue is the first in Texas to test all incoming dogs for chagas and treat those who test positive. A dog who finishes treatment can expect a normal lifespan.
