Meet MajorSay hello to Major! Major is an adorable terrier mix puppy who is approximately 6 months old and currently weighs 14 pounds. He was found on the side of the road with his two brothers in south Texas near the border of Mexico. The puppies were starving, covered with fleas and ticks and were just in terrible condition. Thankfully a private rescuer was able to help these puppies and get them into our care. They have come a very long way and are doing great now! They are just the sweetest little guys and are ready to find their loving forever homes! Major is a typical happy, playful puppy. He loves everyone he meets and is always ready for adventure! He has the best time playing with his toys and enjoys romping around the play yard exploring with his brothers and the other dogs in his play group. He loves getting attention and affection will make a very loving little companion. We aren’t sure who mom and dad are, but we expect him to be in the 20 pound range when he is full-grown. Major is a sweet and social little guy and we can really see him doing well growing up in just about any family environment. Major is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to Clearwater, FL on December 23, 2023. He is neutered, up to date on all shots, microchipped and his adoption fee is $450. The fee includes the transport cost. *Please note: You MUST be available to pick up Major at our adoption event on Saturday morning 12/23. *Major tested positive for Chagas disease and has started his treatment. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol. We are also focused on continued education and awareness of Chagas to help even more dogs.
