Description:

I got the name "Old Deuteronomy" from my group mom. When she first started feeding us, I looked like that cat from "Cats". I was brownish black, kinda unkempt looking, a little scraggly. After a few months of good food, snuggles, pets, and LOTS of head butts, I am now simply called, "Dude". I have a "black leather wristband" on my left foreleg, a silky coat, and long whiskers. None of that has gone to my head though. I still adore snuggles, and at my size I fill up a good sized hug. I LOVE to play with toys on a stick, toys that are dragged, and CATNIP! OH I go stupid for catnip -- even crawling into the sack that held the bag of catnip toys before it was playtime! Some days it's just catnip sprinkled on the deck, and I go wild for that too! I thoroughly enjoy my morning canned food, taking my time to relish each bit. Sylvester (one of the girls here) smacks me as I go by, and I never raise a paw, or even turn my head to look at her, preferring to just move along. Cats not from my group come in to get some food, and I don't fight them or even menace them. I am just a mellow boy, looking for a lap, a scratch, some catnip and some love.
