Do you remember our blind kitty Toph from April this year? Well here she is!! She’s settled in to our kitty apartment! We have had plenty of time for her to adjust, and to evaluate how much she can see. Our kitty apartment is a smaller space, for kitties needing extra care. We know Toph doesn’t see much more than shadows. Her left eye is pretty much gone, and her right eye provides little vision. Our thinking, and that of our vet, is not to take what little sight she has, by removing her eye. Toph is the sweetest girl, loves to purr and be loved on. She knows how to use our litter boxes and where they are located. She knows where the food and water dishes are. She’s been curled up in beds on the floor, and up on our tier hammocks. She’s going to need a small space of her own, that she can safely navigate. Toph will not be able to roam in a normal home. Too much space and obstacles aren’t fair to her. So we’re looking for that Special Needs adopter/foster. Otherwise, she’s happy and content here. Toph has been spayed, fully vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas, and although she’s petite, her DOB is estimated to be 10/11/2019. Thankfully she’s feline leukemia/FIV negative!
