Meet Freya, a 5–6-year-old Schnauzer/ Terrier mix weighing 45 lbs. and possibly around 50 or 55 pounds once she is settled in a home! A visibly pregnant Freya was found wandering around a flea market, and we knew we had to rescue her! Upon bringing her into rescue, she tested positive for heartworm for which she received treatment. Two weeks later, she gave birth to 5 beautiful puppies- Ragnar, Leif, Bjorn, Lagertha, and Ingrid! They are now available for adoption! She wears a scruffy coat of grey and black. Freya does well with other dogs and children but does not get along with cats at all. Freya enjoys walking on leash and running around in her play yard! She’s a delight! (ME, 12/18/23) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $375 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed $160 We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.
