This kitty with a spicy personality has had a very hard-knock life just like the classic orphan Annie. She is in great need of forever home! Precious has had to learn to trust again, and is slow to do so. She asks very little of her potential family, being very self sufficient. She would be great as an only kitty but can tolerate other cats. She is not a cuddler but once she trusts you she loves having her ears scratched and having quiet time on the floor with you. She is also a sucker for some string, and can be slowly won over with extra tasty treats and a healthy dose of patience! Please note she has been on anti-anxiety medicine before, and might need to be put on it again if there is significant change in her environment. Once she is given adequate time to settle down she responds well to being phased off the medicine. Her foster parents are Lindsay T. The adoption fee for Precious is $40. If more than one cat or kitten is adopted the adoption fees are discounted. Please complete our online application form if you are interested in adopting Precious. A volunteer will contact you as soon as possible. All Kalamazoo Animal Rescue cats & kittens are spayed or neutered and feline leukemia tested prior to adoption. They also are given medication to rid them of roundworms and checked and treated for fleas & ear mites, if needed. Additional vet care may have been provided depending on the particular animal's needs. All are given distemper vaccinations and depending on how long the pet has been in foster care, additional vaccine(s) may be necessary and the expense will be incurred by the adopter.
