My name is Oreo, formally known as Gwendolyn Rose (you see my foster mom and dad thought I was a girl until they took me to the vet). I showed up at their house during the week of Christmas 2022 when it was below freezing. They built me a heated enclosure and had their cat sitter feed me while they were out of town. Ever since then I hung out on their deck and got two meals a day. Slowly I learned that not all humans are out to hurt me. My foster parents think it's clear that I used to have a home, because I like to be pet and want to come inside the house. They recently screened in their deck, so now I have my own safe bedroom. I have proven that I used to be an indoor kitty, because I keep a clean litter box and have never had an accident. I have four kitty foster siblings and have never once hissed, I am very easy going and like other fur babies. I even let the opossums eat my food when I lived on the deck. I haven't interacted with a dog but the barks from our neighbors don't scare me.I am very nervous around new people (because of the mean humans in my past). I may take a while to warm up but I'm as sweet as can be once you get to know me. I have beautiful big green eyes and the cutest white whiskers. I purr so loudly that you can hear me across the room. I want to have an indoor home of my own where I can lounge and spend my days in your company. I have been combo tested (FIV and FeLV) negative and am up to date on my vaccines. I am also neutered. The doctor thinks I am 4-5 years old.
