Imagine this - an animal welfare call is made and the officer arrives on site and finds no people, and no buildings. There`s just a Stella wandering out from nowhere, and a dog bed on the ground nearby. This is how Stella came to be impounded. We`re so glad she`s safe. Being marked safe is the first part of the rest of her life. This sweetheart is heart worm positive and needs a place to hang out, indoors in the coolness, so she can get her heart worm treatment started, which is free of charge by the way, provided through COA and Emancipet. An adopter or foster just needs to make the appointments and get her there, and keep her relatively calm throughout the process which isn`t hard for a girl good like Stella who`s easy and calm by nature. Stella can even stay with one or more dogs. She`s currently co-housing with one and is a push over to his much larger size and we`ve seen her around a chihuahua being so very good.
