Kinja is a sweet and well-behaved boy! Kinja is good with people, gentle with children, and good with dogs of all sizes. He has a good temperament and lots of love to give. Kinja has been through a rough start in life. He can be a little shy with new people at first. However, it doesn’t take him long to warm up to them. He is doing well in his foster home and ready for a forever home. Kinja is a tripod missing one of his hind legs. However, it does not affect his ability to climb stairs, go on walks, run, and hiking. He is still playful and athletic. Kinja started some leash training and is learning at a good pace. He is crate-trained and doing well on his housetraining. He rides well in the car and can wait patiently while his foster mom runs errands. We are looking for a committed family to be patient with him during the adjustment period. KINJA’s Rescue Story Poor Kinja and his siblings, Kina & Kinla, were living as a stray dog in the mountain. He was rescued by a volunteer of a TNR (Trap / Neuter / Return) rescue group. The rescue has a temporary rundown place for the dogs. TNR groups specialize in getting stray animals spayed and neutered and the animals are returned to their original location to live as homeless dogs. TNR programs help with the overpopulation of unwanted animals. The volunteer reached out to an experienced international rescue organization to help with them and some other puppies that are still too young to be released back to the streets. The founder of the rescue organization has over 180 dogs waiting for homes. However, she could not bear to see them going back to the mountain and suffer on the streets. She agreed to take them home and give them a chance in life. Kinja had a thorough medical checkup. He has been neutered, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on his blood tests. Please give Kinja a loving home where he will never be left behind again.
