She is FIV+. Beauty is a beautiful solid black cat with gorgeous yellow eyes. She has lived most of her adult life outside and homeless at a feed/seed mill. This is likely where she picked up FIV. She has been out of the mill and fostered now for about a year. She is rather untrusting of strangers until she gets to know them. At present, she doesn’t like to be picked up but will heartily come jump in your lap! She is healthy, extremely affectionate, and really craves and loves attention. She will nudge your hand to keep petting her. She loves to play with wand toys and all kinds of ball toys as well as little stuffed animals that she can bat around. She needs an understanding kind-hearted owner who has time to spend with her and one that is sensitive to her special needs. She really enjoys the company of people (in spite of her initial fear of them) and also likes other cats. She has not had experience around dogs. Beauty is a Courtesy Post cat and does not belong to East Coast Maine Coon Rescue. She is located in Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
