Hi, I’m Sanford! I’m just a sweet goofy guy who seems to entertain people without even trying. I’ve been told that the brown spot on my head looks like spilled coffee, and I don’t know if that’s a compliment, but my volunteer buddies tell me they love it! I don’t like to brag, but I’m quite skilled at climbing; I’ve been known to climb fences if a squirrel tries to challenge me to a duel. When I’m not faced with trying to defeat any pesky squirrels, I’m very well behaved on leash walks. I’m also very house trained and like to take care of my business outside on a walk, not in my kennel. When I get to go somewhere indoors, I’ll explore every nook and cranny and look out all the windows trying to figure out what this “indoors” thing is… it’s actually kind of nice! I think I could get used to this “a/c” that the humans are always raving about. I’m not cut out for a life with cats, but I’ve had doggie friends here at the shelter as well as doggie roommates, so if you already have a pup who needs a friend, maybe it could be me! The staff here would love to set up a Meet and Greet for you to see.”
